So what's the deal again?
Rachel and I will be traveling in Guatemala and Costa Rica. While in Guatemala we will be volunteering part of our time with a non-profit organization, Child-Aid, who helps build and maintain libraries and computer labs throughout the country. In Costa Rica we plan to volunteer with ANAI to help save endangered Leatherback Sea Turtles as well as travel. We fly to Guatemala on January 17th, catch another flight on April 11th to Costa Rica, and return home on May 9th, 2007.

They speak Spanish down there. You guys know any Spanish?
We both know a little Spanish, and we will be attending a Spanish school, Probigua, in the city of Antigua which is affiliated with Child-Aid. Much of the money needed to run the Child-Aid program comes from people taking Spanish courses at the school.
Are you gonna buy a house?
Nope, no plans for buying a house. For most of our time we'll be living with a host family, setup for us through the Spanish school.
More than likely we will catch a case of the 'homesick woes'. So please email us when possible, even if it's just a little note, or leave a message in the guestbook.
